The
Grimm Shows
The hit, award winning Grimm shows! "Grimm!" "Grimm,
Too!" & "Très Grimm!" The shows
take a close look at the true Grimm stories, not the sanitized
ones we know today. They also trace the rich history of
folk tales. Developed, co-written, and produced by George
Larkin.
Combined, the shows were nominated for nine prestigious
L.A. Weekly Awards (for best writer, director, and actor)
and received three Backstage West honorable mention Garlands.
The first show was a Backstage West Critic’s Pick,
all three were recommended by the L.A. Weekly, and the
Los Angeles Times recommended the third and raved that "George
Larkin's third slate of adult takes on tales by folklore's
cautionary brothers is a vivacious volume earmarked by
wry designs and spry playing...", "Grown up Grimm
pulls no punches," and that its "vicious and
hysterical," hilarious," "riveting," and
that its "energy abounds."
In summer 2009, JAC published all thirty plays from the three Grimm shows. To find out more or order, please go to:

of Eden?
David killing Goliath with a stone?
People building pyramids? Or crossing the Red Sea?
Joseph having a coat of many colors?
A woman who is raped and not betrothed has to marry the
man who did it?
